As a principal on the Responsible Technology team, Jamaal works to identify, invest in, and amplify technology that improves the world.

Jamaal is the founder and CEO of JG Holdings, an investment and advisory firm, and a professor at New York University and the City University of New York. His previous professional experience includes founding and selling a digital media startup, investing more than $50 million in technology startups, and working at companies such as Google and J.P. Morgan.

Jamaal is chair of the board of directors of The Pivot Fund, a board director and treasurer at LION Publishers, and a board director at The Center for Public Integrity. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. He is also a Marshall Memorial Fellow with the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
