Benefits Offerings

Full-time regular and fixed-term employees who work with Omidyar Network for six months or more are eligible for the following employee benefits.
 
Part-time employees may be eligible for prorated benefits if they work at least 50% time on a regular basis for six months or more.

Medical, dental, and vision

  • 100% of employee costs, 80% of dependent costs, with a variety of HMO, PPO, and HDHP options available
  • Coverage begins on date of hire

Fertility and adoption resources

  • Up to $5,000 per year (gross) for treatments or fees related to fertility or adoption, with a lifetime maximum of $15,000

  • Employer-paid monthly benefit for commuter transit or parking

401K retirement plan

  • Employer contribution equivalent to 8% of annual salary, with no employee contribution requirement and immediate vesting
  • Effective the first day of the month following date of hire

Holidays and paid time off

  • 9 paid company holidays, and offices closed from December 25–January 1
  • 17 days annual vacation accrual, increases 1 day/year to a maximum annual accrual of 23 days
  • 4 volunteer days off
  • 10 days sick time for illness, medical appointments, mental health days, or care of a loved one
  • Bereavement days for the loss of immediate family, extended family and friends, and pets

Paid parental leave

  • 16 weeks of paid parental leave
