Jeffrey Hom serves as senior vice president of portfolio operations at Omidyar Network. He oversees the processes and systems used by the organization to conduct programmatic activity, and he engages with the firm’s investment and risk committees.
Previously, Jeff was the general counsel at Omidyar Network and worked in the legal department for 14 years. Prior to joining Omidyar Network, he spent six years as an associate at the law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he advised technology startups on venture capital financing and intellectual property licensing, in addition to supporting small local businesses and nonprofits on a pro bono basis.
Jeff holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. As a Fulbright scholar, Jeff studied the handover of Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to China in 1997 and he co-authored the article “Human Rights in Hong Kong: The First Year in the Transition” published by the American Bar Association.
