Nicole Allred leads narrative change, strategic communications, and creative partnerships for Omidyar Network’s Building Cultures of Belonging program area.

Nicole brings thirteen years of experience developing stories that deepen connection, empathy, and perspective. Prior to Omidyar Network, she led communications and visual storytelling at human rights nonprofits across the Global South. Nicole has also worked across the technology and fashion sectors, using neuroscience insights to create immersive brand experiences. Throughout her career, she has leveraged her psychology degree to anchor projects in an understanding of the unconscious patterns shaping human behavior.

Nicole is a Managing Partner at Pop Culture Collaborative, which brings together artists, cultural strategists, and funders to transform the narrative landscape in America. She is organizing to launch the first NAACP chapter in Whatcom County, WA, and is founder of Black to the Outdoors, a group building joy and belonging for people of color exploring nature.
