Judy is chief of staff and associate, programs, at Omidyar Network. As chief of staff, she manages the operations and strategic priorities of an integrated grantmaking and policy team, serving as a thought partner to the SVP of programs and policy to execute his vision for the team. She also manages grantmaking in his office to ensure programmatic alignment. As an associate, Judy supports strategy and portfolio development focused on the political economy of emerging technology, particularly as it pertains to the impact of generative AI on workers and jobs.
Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Judy served as a manager on the Corporate Affairs and Multicultural practices at Edelman. She most recently managed client engagements spanning corporate reputation, workplace advisory, and brand communications for Fortune 100 companies. Earlier in her tenure, she helped build the internal capacity of the Multicultural team and led the development of inclusive marketing strategies for clients across technology and retail. Previously, Judy worked on public and government affairs at The Raben Group, where she supported corporate and nonprofit organizations in developing issue campaigns and coalitions that advance economic justice and tech equity. Earlier in her career, Judy held a research fellowship with the Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality.
Judy earned a B.A. magna cum laude in political science with minors in sociology and gender studies from San Diego State University.
