Garrison Lovely is a Brooklyn-based freelance journalist focusing on the intersection of AI risk, economics, and geopolitics. His writing on AI has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian US, The Verge, TIME, The Thomson Reuters Foundation, Jacobin, and elsewhere. His work has been translated into five languages. He is working on a book called Obsolete: Power, Profit, and the Race for Machine Superintelligence for OR Books and The Nation. He also writes “The Obsolete Newsletter.”
