As head of finance, Scott oversees all accounting, finance, and investment operations for the organization’s hybrid impact capital model.
Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Scott spent over 15+ years working with mission-driven organizations in various accounting and finance roles. Most recently, Scott served as director of finance for the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of the museum’s accounting and FP&A functions, as well as its endowment and bond refinance. Previously, Scott held various roles at the philanthropies of Eric and Wendy Schmidt, including controller, CFO, and managing director, where he co-founded a venture philanthropy organization that provides seed capital to environmental entrepreneurs. Earlier in his career, Scott consulted for the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and worked in public accounting at PwC, serving the firm’s nonprofit, endowment, and investment fund clients.
Scott has a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
