David Hsu serves as a senior director at Omidyar Network. He oversees programmatic strategy, grantmaking, and partnerships in the socio-cultural domain.

A strategist and social scientist with 20 years of cross-sector experience, David previously worked at the Hollywood-based cultural consultancy Propper Daley, tech startup NationBuilder, University of Pennsylvania, and the US Department of Justice, Antitrust Division within its technology enforcement section. He is author of “Untethered: A Primer on Social Isolation” (2018) and serves on the boards of CoGenerate and Inclusive Action for the City.

David holds a Ph.D. in international political economy from Princeton University and B.A. from Duke University.
