Clara Bennett serves as director of strategy, learning, and impact at Omidyar Network. In this role, she oversees the organization’s learning and evaluation activities to inform strategy.
Prior to joining the organization, Clara was an independent consultant assisting for profit and nonprofit clients with developing systems and tools to support adaptive strategy. Previously, Clara spent 10 years at Room to Read, a global nonprofit working in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations, and governments to improve literacy and gender equality in education, where she focused on program design and iteration during a period of rapid scale. Clara also supported research and special projects at Google.org in its initial launch phase and served in philanthropy fellowships at the Global Fund for Children and Silicon Valley Community Foundation. She currently serves on the advisory board for the Center for Effective Philanthropy.
Clara holds a M.A. in international education administration and policy analysis and a B.A. in international relations from Stanford University.
