Christina is the Director of People & Culture at Omidyar Network where she will work closely with the Department of People Operations and Recruiting to define and execute HR strategy that fully aligns with the vision, mission, and values of the company and the people.
Before joining the team, Christina served as the Deputy Chief Talent Officer at Chicago Public Schools (CPS), the third-largest school district in the U.S., overseeing the strategy and operations for the talent management team including central office recruitment, employee relations, performance management, leadership development, DEI initiatives, and compensation among other areas. Prior to CPS, Christina led human resources (HR) as the Chief Talent Officer for LEARN Charter School Network in Chicago and as the Director of HR for Success Academy Charter Schools in New York City. Christina has held leadership roles in HR and operations management in the corporate, private, public, and non-profit sectors spanning multiple industries including retail and industrial supplies. She is an alumna of the KIPP Leadership Design Fellowship, the Emerging Human Capital Leaders Initiative, Education Pioneers, the Broad Residency, and the IMPACT Leadership Development programs.
Christina earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Cornell University, a master’s degree in Human Resource Management & Development from New York University, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the Broad Center for the Management of School Systems. She was an inaugural fellow in the Stanford University EdLEADers program obtaining a professional certificate from its Graduate Schools of Education (GSE) and Business (GSB). Christina also holds both the SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications.
