Judy Alterado

Judy is Chief of Staff & Associate, Programs and Policy at Omidyar Network. As Chief of Staff, she manages the operations and strategic priorities of an integrated grantmaking and policy team. As an Associate, she focuses on the economic impacts of digital technology, especially as it relates to the future of work.

Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Judy served as a manager on the Corporate Affairs and Multicultural teams at Edelman. In this capacity, she advised technology, manufacturing, and retail companies on corporate reputation, issues management, and brand communications. Previously, Judy worked on policy and advocacy campaigns at The Raben Group, where she helped build and manage coalitions to advance economic justice and tech equity for workers and consumers. She has also worked as a research fellow at the Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality.

Judy earned a B.A. in political science, magna cum laude, from San Diego State University.
