Sophia Kerby

Principal, Policy & Advocacy

Sophia leads Omidyar Network’s state policy and advocacy efforts. Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Sophia served as the director of reproductive rights at State Innovation Exchange (SiX). In this role, she led strategy and programming initiatives to support state legislators across the country in advancing and defending reproductive health policy. Previously, Sophia was the senior manager of state and local campaigns at Advocates for Youth, where she advocated on behalf of young people’s reproductive and sexual health. As a political strategist, Sophia has trained hundreds of elected officials and advocates on storytelling, organizing, and policy advocacy. She currently serves on the board of Reproductive Health Access Project (RHAP).

Sophia holds a B.A. in government and politics from the University of Maryland College Park. She received an MBA with a focus on social impact and sustainable business from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
