ParentPowered raise $2.65M in Seed Funding to Build ‘On-Demand Library for Parenting Tips’

ParentPowered, an organization creating accessible tools to support effective parenting, has raised $2.65 million in funding led by Omidyar Network.

ParentPowered, an organization creating accessible tools to support effective parenting, has raised $2.65 million in a seed round of funding.

Its first product, Ready4K, is an application that texts parents of young children facts and tips on literacy, math, and social and emotional skills three times a week.

The funding round was led by Omidyar Network with other investors including Valhalla Charitable Foundation, The Richard E. and Nancy P. Marriott Foundation, and Heising-Simons Foundation.

ParentPowered founder, Benjamin York, plans to use the new funds to scale the platform’s content and team, with a mission to create “an on-demand library for parenting tips.”
