Last week, more than 1,500 people crowded into historic Fort Mason in San Francisco for the The Social Capital Markets Conference (SOCAP). The conference attracted throngs of investors and entrepreneurs who seek better ways of merging money and meaning and want to remake finance into a tool for social change.
