Khuram helps structure and manage Omidyar Network’s investments in for-profit and nonprofit organizations that seek to make governments more transparent and accountable to citizens in Africa. He previously supported the firm’s impact investing and education investments in the United Kingdom.
Khuram joined Omidyar Network in early 2012, prior to which he participated in Acumen Fund’s Global Fellows Program. As a fellow based in Kenya, he offered management and operational assistance to Ecotact, a social enterprise that provides individuals living at the base of the pyramid with greater access to clean water and sanitation. Khuram spent more than two years at J.P. Morgan in New York as an analyst in the emerging markets research group. He began his career at Navigant Consulting, Inc., a dispute and business advisory consulting firm, as part of its litigations and investigations practice.
Khuram is a CFA charterholder. He received an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley where he was a corporate social responsibility fellow. Khuram has consulted for companies such as Walmart and McKesson and interned with Technoserve in Guinea and Endeavor in Columbia. He has a B.S. in commerce with concentrations in finance and management from the University of Virginia.
