Jim leads global marketing and communications for the Governance & Citizen Engagement initiative at Omidyar Network.
Jim has more than 15 years of experience in marketing, communications, and public affairs and has worked with corporate, government, and nonprofit organizations around the world. He most recently led the communications and consultancy practice at Salterbaxter MSLGROUP, where he helped technology, energy, engineering, and consumer goods clients connect their strategy with social objectives to enhance commercial and brand value and to deliver meaningful impact.
Prior to his work at Salterbaxter, Jim was an associate director of sustainability and corporate responsibility at Hill & Knowlton Strategies and spent five years as head of corporate communications and stakeholder engagement for the Carbon Trust. Jim previously trained and worked as a journalist.
Jim holds a B.A. in journalism, film, and broadcasting from Cardiff University.
