Koko is tapping into a large and growing unmet need for emotional support. Koko is a peer-to-peer network through which an individual shares negative thoughts and receives back, from a community of contributors, messages that positively reframe his or her thoughts. Users see therapeutic benefits from contributing on both sides of the network.

Through the company’s recently launched chatbot, Kokobot, Koko reaches users when and where they most need support. Kokobot uses artificial intelligence to identify when users chatting on messenger platforms such as Kik, Telegram, and Facebook Messenger are in need of emotional support and provides them relevant and supportive messages directly within the messenger platform. As Koko expands, it will provide emotional support as a service for any product or platform, including messenger platforms, chatbots, voice and conversational agents, and online communities.
