Technology is driving the future, making computer science foundational for all careers and fields in the 21st century. But computer science is not currently taught in the majority of US schools, and there is a severe lack of diversity in the space.
Code.org believes computer science should be part of core curriculum, alongside other STEM courses and aims to bring computer science to every student in the US.
The organization takes a holistic approach to solving this problem, ensuring that there are no gaps in the ecosystem. Its work includes (i) awareness and advocacy, (ii) curriculum and teacher tools, and (iii) in-school implementations and professional development for teachers.
