Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) works to improve energy and land use policies around the world, with a particular emphasis on finance. Its mission is to help nations address the complex challenges that come with growth alongside increasingly scarce resources and climate risk.
Through focusing on the crucial role of policy, CPI supports decision makers from government, finance, and nonprofit sectors globally. Its services include advisory, convening, analysis, and assessment.
CPI has extensive experience conducting rigorous research in land management and environmental policy in Brazil. Its current research project analyzes the influence of policy changes on natural resource protection, agricultural practices, and the property rights of smallholder farmers in four key rural regions.
